After School Club

Join in the fun at After School Club
Our After School Club has been extremely popular due to the activities we have available, as well as our friendly staff.

The regular children have given great feedback and we listen to what they’d like and we do our best to make this possible. The staff are enthusiastic about making the children happy and busy, and endeavour to get involved with the games to keep them entertained.

We have recently had a review of our safeguarding and we now request a signature from the authorised adult upon collection of their child on the register to ensure the safety of your children.

Here is a rundown of a typical afternoon at After School Club;

15:15 – 15:30: Children arrive and have a wide selection of indoor activities to play with and settle in, including Lego, Duplo, K’nex, Jenga, magnets, puzzles, colouring, garage and cars, and various board games.

15:30 – 16:00: Children wash their hands and sit down for snack and dessert, either outside on our wooden benches on a sunny day, or inside the canteen when the weather is not so pleasant. Snack consists of either crackers with cheese, beans on toast, chocolate spread on toast, or sandwiches. Dessert is usually a selection of yoghurts, or a choice of fruit. Fruit is available all through the evening for children to take, as well as drinks.

16:00 – 18:00: Children have the option to go outside for football, tennis, rounders, basketball, wheelies, skipping, frisbees, the Adventure Playground, and the Pirate Ship, just to name a few, or they can stay inside for arts and crafts, painting, PlayStation 3, or any other inside activities listed previously. When the weather is not suitable, we get the iPads out where children love to play Minecraft, working together as teams to create their own structures and worlds.
